Girls' 18 Tennis Fundraising Mixer! All members and their guests are invited to come out for a day of tennis and fun, Sunday June 8th from 12PM – 5PM to support the National Girls 18 Tennis Championships to be held August 2-10 at the BTC. Everyone will get a chance to play in a round-robin doubles format. At 4 p.m. we will end play and have a reception with beverages and appetizers while hearing about the Girls 18 tournament from members of our Steering Committee. This is the second year that the Berkeley Tennis Club is hosting the event with our co-host, the Claremont Resort. About 200 of the nation’s top junior girls come to play with the winner getting a wild-card into the US Open. Last year was a great success with Billie Jean King joining us for the last few days and leading a Q & A with some of the players and our members on Friday evening before the semis. The finals of both the singles and doubles drew big crowds to court one for some outstanding tennis. Please come out and support this event on June 8th.
