Morten Christensen has had a winning career as a touring professional and highly effective coach. As a player, he competed at the international level as an ATP men’s touring professional and a member of Denmark’s Davis Cup team. He toured internationally for eight years and played against such tennis greats as Boris Becker, Ivan Lendl, and Mats Wilander. His resume includes wins over several top 10 players, such as Goran Ivanisevic, Thomas Muster, and Emilio Sanchez. These victories helped catapult Mr. Mortensen to the upper echelons of the world men’s tennis rankings, including career high rankings of 250 in men’s singles and 104 in men’s doubles. As a result of his successes, Mr. Mortensen was selected to represent Denmark’s Davis Cup team, where he joined a select few in competing against the best men’s talent in head-to-head international team events. In 1988, Mr. Christensen competed in the Seoul Olympics, finishing in the quarterfinals of the men’s doubles event.
Mr. Christensen possesses numerous certifications as a tennis professional, which make him supremely qualified as a teacher and an expert in tennis. In 2002, Mr. Christensen was certified as an ATP Professional, having completed the ATP Professional Course. In the same year he was also rated and certified as a Professional Coach by PTR (European Registry of Tennis Professionals). In 2003, Mr. Christensen was certified by USPTA with a rating of “Professional 1.” In 2014, Mr. Christensen was certified as a referee and tournament director.

Rafa Cirne Lima
Rafael Lima is a tennis professional from Brazil who brings more than 20 years of teaching and coaching experience. He has been PTR certified since 1996, has earned a BA in Physical Education, and has expertise in Biomechanics and Sports Psychology. Rafael has been running the junior program at Berkeley Tennis Club since January 2014. Before joining Berkeley Tennis Club, he worked for YTA (2001), Mill Valley Tennis Club (2001-2012), and the High Performance Institute in San Mateo (2013). In addition to coaching, Rafa has co-founded Mythus, a sports product company channeling his passion for positive sports psychology.
Peter is a member of the USTA Team NorCal coaching staff that is tasked with running training camps for the top juniors in Northern California, and Early Development camps for up-and-coming juniors in younger age groups.
He is certified by the United States Professional Tennis Association, (P1-Elite). A graduate of the USTA High Performance Coaching Program, and International Coaches Institute certified (ICI) and has worked with players ranging from beginners to advanced juniors and collegiate level.
Peter's experience and training in mental training techniques come is derived from a combination of competitive background and graduate level work in Sport Psychology. Techniques for Relaxation, Focus, and other tools are taught to help players "allow themselves the opportunity to perform to their fullest capabilities". Holding a Master's Degree in Sport Psychology, Peter has been a member of the Performance Enhancement and Intervention Committee, Association for the Advancement of Applied Sport Psychology (AAASP).
